Currently the Water Resources Biologist for NRCS in Louisiana responsible for compliance with NEPA and federal, state, and local regulations.
Major accomplishments include:
The construction of the CWPPRA LaBranche Marsh Creation Project (1500 acres). Currently serving as federal project manager.
100,000 acres of coastal wetlands restored through CWPPRA
Instrumental in bringing the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) to Louisiana (over 300,000 acres of bottomland hardwoods restored). We were 1 of 9 pilot states.
Farm Bill Programs including CRP and EQIP.
Environmental Specialist for hundreds of projects under the Emergency Watershed Program (EWP) which consists of cleaning up storm-related debris from natural disasters including hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes.
Native habitat restoration and management
Longleaf Pine Habitat Restoration and Prescribed Burning (bobwhite quail)
