This month’s guest speaker will be outdoorswoman Stacey Scarce
Stacey Scarce is a technical assistance provider for Communities Unlimited, based out of Arkansas. She assists rural, persistent poverty communities in Louisiana to build capacity and sustainability.
Previous careers include Executive Director of a nonprofit in Arizona, Manager and Naturalist of Acadiana Nature Station, Adjunct Professor at ULL, Outdoor Guide for Pack and Paddle, and Hotshot driver/bookkeeper/secretary/sandblaster/painter for her parents' companies.
She is the founder of Acadiana Master Naturalist program and co-founder of Community Roots Project.
Her favorite awards are 2014 NWF Governor’s Professional Conservationist Award and the Basinkeeper Angel Award.
Her spare time, outside of work and volunteer service, can find her traveling both domestic and international, hiking, canyoneering, paddling, bird watching, wildlife watching, and satisfying her artistic passions through photography, pottery, enameling and other art mediums.
